Calls For Increased Focus On Developing East Clare Tourism Initiatives

Calls have been made for an increased focus on developing tourism initiatives in East Clare.

It comes in light of a 12% drop in the number of people signing on in Clare in the past year, with 5,381 people now claiming some form of unemployment benefit in this county.

There has been a jump, however, in the numbers joining the dole queues in the past month, which is traditionally the case at this time of year, though this years figure of 183 is three times the number who joined the live register in July 2017.
