Calls For Greater National Action To Address Suicide

The Head of the Clare Garda Division is calling for greater action at national level, to address the ongoing problem of suicide.

Chief Superintendent John Kerin revealed that the force responded to 8 suicides in Clare in the first five months of this year.

Gardai also dealt with 18 cases of attempted suicide in this county between January and May.
