Calls for warning notices at Ballyalla Lake

 

 

There have been calls for swimmers to be informed that it is not safe to take to the water at Ballyalla Lake, if that’s what it takes to address the problem

It comes after the Environmental Protection Agency found that the Ennis bathing site is one of just four in the country which does not meet the minimum standards for water quality.

It’s the second time that water at Ballyalla has been classified as ‘poor’ – in 2009 the EPA deemed it to be satisfactory
