Calls are being made for an “Ennis Hospital Working Group” to be established.
A motion is being put forward at this afternoon’s monthly meeting of the local authority, calling for the lobbying of Government and the HSE to provide a level three hospital for Clare.
The motion put forward by councillors Johnny Flynn, Joe Cooney, James Breen, Pj Kelly, Christy Curtin and Gerry Flynn comes in light of plans for the health sector outlined in the Government’s Ireland 2040 plan.
