A West Clare councillor is leading calls for community psychiatric ambulance services to be made available for people in that area of the county.
Miltown Malbay-based Councillor Susan Crawford told a recent Regional Health Forum West meeting that carers and families in the area are under ‘unmanageable pressure’ due to what she says is a lack of community psychiatric supports.
The HSE says the referral pathway to community mental health services remains the same for both new and existing service users since the onset of the pandemic.
