Calls For Clarity On Governance Of New National Maternity Hospital

The Sisters of Charity are being called on to clarify their position on medical procedures that are seen as contrary to the Catholic faith.

The Association for the Improvement of Maternity Services in Ireland says it wants to hear reassurances from the order, rather than St Vincent’s Hospital Group, which it owns.

AIMS Ireland says hundreds of women have written saying the Sisters should have no role in the running of the new National Maternity Hospital.
