Calls have been made for the installation of hidden CCTV cameras in dumping blackspots across the county.
Clare County Council recently purchased temporary mobile cameras but are required by law to display warning signs that recording is in process.
The Council recieved 1,237 complaints last year in relation to dumping or litter, a marginal decrease on the previous year.
