Calls For Cark Park On Stilts To Be Built In Ennis

A former Independent TD for Clare is calling on the local authority to build a car park on stilts to offset the temporary pedestrianisation measures in Ennis.

There have been concerns raised of inadequate access to parking spaces for the disabled in the town as a result of the Ennis Mobility Plan, which was implemented at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Clare County Council say the plan is under continuous review, with the annual Christmas pedestrianisation provisions currently being examined.

Former TD and councillor James Breen believes the local authority should conduct a feasibility study into a car park adjacent to Ennis post office.
