Call To Ensure Drone Activity Is Regulated

An Ireland South MEP says it’s vital to ensure that drone activity in this country is regulated.

Deirdre Clune’s comments follow the recent issues at both Gatwick and Heathrow Airport, where flights were grounded due to drone activity nearby, with the former seeing flights diverted to Shannon.

At present, there are over 11,000 registered drones in Ireland but currently only those weighing over a kilo need to be registered so there are many thousands more.
