The Shannon Springs Hotel has been named the top ‘Airport Hotel of the Year’ at the Irish Hotel Awards.
The honour was given to owners Dermot Kelly and John Gavin at the glittering ceremony at The Galmont Hotel & Spa in Galway.
The three star hotel employs 50 people and a €500,000 injection of funding has been invested there in recent months.

There was also success for staff member Mark Amoah, who was bestowed with the Star Award for Kitchen Porter of the Year.
