Hope has been expressed that a major new €4.7 million testing centre for self-driving cars in Shannon will shine a light on the Midwest region.
The Future Mobility Campus will be developed in Shannon thanks to the funding, which has been issued through the Regional Enterprise Development Fund.
The application has been spearheaded by Jaguar Land Rover and hope is now being expressed that the new facility will prove a significant boost to both existing and new companies in the Shannon region.
