Ennis ‘Health Check’ Reveals 2% Drop In Commercial Vacancies

A survey of Ennis town centre has found the number of empty business units are decreasing.

Clare County Council’s planning department carried out a health check of the town centre in August, which has revealed that retail accounts for 35% of the total ground floor use of buildings, which is a 3% increase since 2013.

Leisure services, such as restaurants and pubs, cover 11% while financial services account for 7%.
