Clare’s Commercial Vacancy Rate Holds Steady

The number of commercial properties lying idle in Clare has held steady at a time when the majority of the country is experiencing an unwelcome spike.

Latest figures from GeoDirectory, which the end of last year, show 14.8% of commercial buildings in this county are vacant, a figure that hasn’t changed in the space of a year.

In terms of some of the major urban centres, Ennis has a vacancy rate of 17.5%, the figure for Shannon is 23.7% and it’s 26.5% in Kilrush.
