The Cooaraclare producer of what’s believed to be the most expensive bottles of Irish whiskey ever made says they’ve sold out.
Founder of Chapel Gate Whiskey, Louise McGuane has recently launched a new whiskey called The Chosen, which is bottled in handmade decanters and presented in a bespoke case.
The drink itself is a 27-year-old malt whiskey, and a bottle would set you back around €7,000, but all 100 have already been sold, including one here in Clare.
