Bruton Encouraged By Commitment To Driving Education Forward In Clare

The Education Minister says he’s extremely encouraged to see first-hand the commitment to drive education forward in Clare.

Richard Bruton is in Clare today and has announced a €10 million investment in the network of schools in this county.

That includes turning the sod on a new 24-classroom primary school in Sixmilebridge as well as opening a new extension at St Patrick’s Comprehensive in Shannon, which can cater for 850 pupils.

The Minister spent this morning engaging in a debate with teachers, parents, pupils and other stakeholders at St Flannan’s College in Ennis and says it’s invaluable to meet those on the ground.
