Locals in one East Clare community will take their case to restore their local post office directly to government.
An Post has officially ruled out re-opening the branch in Broadford, which has been closed since December.
The company says the case presented to them on behalf of the village does not offset the original decision, that customers have been accommodated elsewhere and that it will work with the community to ensure needs are met in the future.
