Breen Urges Britain To Stop Engaging In ‘Kite Flying’ Brexit Commentary

The Tanaiste has dismissed suggestions of a “time-limited” backstop after Brexit.
The British Brexit Secretary reportedly wants the measure aimed at avoiding a hard border to only stay in place for 3 months after Britain’s departure from the EU.
But Leo Varadkar says that’s not worth the paper it’s written on, while Simon Coveney insists Ireland or the EU could never agree to that.
Fine Gael Junior Minister Pat Breen has been telling Clare FM’s James Mulhall that it’s not helpful to be having this type of conversation, given the ongoing discussions in Brussels.
