Ennis-based CupPrint produces some 200 million paper cups each year from its base in Ballymaley.

Today’s announcement sees their workforce there rise to 110, while the firm is also set to become the first in the world to produce a new type of cup which can be recycled over and over.

Founder Terry Foxe says Ennis is the ideal place for them to do business.

Clare’s Junior Jobs Minister Pat Breen was on hand to officially announce the jobs earlier.

It marks the third jobs announcement in the cuonty in recent weeks, with Vitalograph in Ennis and the Quilty-based Wild Irish Seaweed announcing that they were hiring an extra 50 and 10 staff respectively last month.

Minister Breen says even more is going on, and more will come.
