Boundary protestors ask county to attend demonstration in South east Clare

Organisers of today’s public demonstration against proposed changes to the Clare Limerick boundary are calling on people from across the county to attend

They’re calling for the rejection of a report by Denis Brosnan and the Limerick Local Government Committee, which has recommended that a new unitary authority for Limerick also include the Clare communities of Westbury and Shannon Banks.

Today’s march gets underway at Westbury Church at 3:00, and will see protestors travel to Athlunkard Bridge at the River Shannon, site of the current boundary.
