Banner Twang Confusing Voice Controlled Technology

The Clare accent is one of those causing the most confusion for voice controlled technology systems like Apple’s Siri and Amazon’s Echo.

A new report shows the voice recognition devices have most difficulty recognising the banner twang as well as the Donegal and Kerry accents.

Research carried out by Censuswide, on behalf of Pure Telecom, found that nearly 36% of users in Clare struggled to be understood by smart devices.
