Banner Farmers Below National Average In Monies Received From Key Support Scheme

Clare farmers have received the lowest average advance payments under a key support scheme.

Figures compiled by the Agriland website show farmers here typically received just under 5,300 euro a head under the 700 million euro Basic Payment Scheme.

It supports 111,000 farmers, with the highest payments coming in the South-East and East of the country.
