Ballyvaughan Boil Notice set to be lifted

Tourist dependent businesses in Ballyvaughan have welcomed news that the long standing boil notice will be lifted soon.

The North Clare village is being connected up to a new water supply this week and after rigorous testing and consultation with the HSE , Clare County Council will then lift the boil notice.

Around 700 people in the area have forced to buy in drinking water or boil the supply from the tap since late last year due to contamination issues since last June.
