Ballymun Shooting Victim Warned His Life Was In Danger

The target of yesterdays shooting in Ballymun had been warned his life was in danger.

Mother of six, Antoinette Corbally and a man in his 30s were killed in the attack on a family home.

Yesterday in broad daylight gunmen opened fire at a house in Ballymun, killing a mother of 6 and a man in his 30s.

Neither was believed to be the intended target in the assassination attempt on a known Dublin criminal.

The scene remains sealed off as gardaí continue their investigations.

Three other people including a child were brought to hospital with injuries following the incident.

Local TD Noel Rock has called for a greater garda focus on Ballymun.

Residents here are shocked at what happened on a busy street in broad daylight.

Hugh Brennan is the CEO of Ó Cualann Housing Co-Operative who work in the area, and said the attack doesn’t reflect the progress that has been made there.

The garda investigation is continuing, and they’re looking for information on the movements of a silver Opel Safira with an 08 Laois reg, and a Volkswagen Golf GTI with an 06 Louth reg.
