BA head hits out at Travel Tax

The former head of Aer Lingus and current BA boss says the government travel tax is a major burden on airports like Shannon

Willie Walsh says that the aviation industry is one of the most heavily hit due to the economic recession and anything to boost passenger numbers needs to be done.

The Government introduced the 10 euro travel tax in the last budget and has come in for major criticism particularly from Ryanair.
