Shannon Group is calling on the government to significantly increase funding to help airlines develop vital route connectivity for Ireland.
Budget 2020 saw the rollout of the competitive route fund, which enabled airlines to focus on development at the regional airports, including Shannon.
But following a difficult 2019, Shannon Group is now focusing on increasing the offering at Shannon Airport; both in terms of the addition of new routes and the extension of routes already in operation there.
