Budget’s Airport Investment Fund Helped Secure Shannon’s New Vienna Route

The Managing Director of Shannon Airport says the recently announced investment fund for regional airport is proving to be another tool they can use to attract new airlines.

It follows yesterday’s announcement that Austrian low-budget airline Lauda will commence a twice weekly route between Shannon and Vienna from March.

The fund, which was announced in the budget to support regional airports, played a part in securing the new route for Shannon.
