Anti Social Behaviour Hits Ennis Water Birds

Fears have been voiced over the impact of anti-social behaviour on water birds who nest along the banks of the River Fergus in the centre of Ennis.

An area known as the Post Office Field is home to a number of species, including Canadian Geese, who migrate to the town every year in spring time.

Those who regularly feed the birds believe a number of nests have been vandalised, and that as a result, the geese have no young this year.
