Concern Over Diminishing Numbers of Birds in Ennis

Concern has emerged over a decline in the number of birds along the Fergus River in Ennis.

A group of wildlife enthusiasts claims that there’s been a massive decrease in numbers, with only one Mallard duck nest to be found in the vicinity of the Post Office Field.

They’re calling for the natural habitat to be preserved there, and are due to present a petition of over 1,000 signatures to Clare County Council.
