On Friday evening, 32,000 euro worth of cocaine was discovered at a house in Ennis, after which two men in their 30s, were arrested at the scene and questioned at Ennis Garda Station under section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act.

They’ve since been released without charge and a file is being sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions.

On the same evening, at around 7pm, the Divisional Drugs Unit carried out a further search at a house in Ennis and recovered €2,000 worth of suspected Cocaine.

Earlier in the week, on Wednesday, 4,000 euro worth of suspected Cannabis Herb and 800 euro worth of suspected cocaine were discovered during searches of a house in Kilmurry, Sixmilebridge.

A man in his late 20’s has been questioned by Gardaí in relation to the seizure and a file is being prepared for the DPP.

Meanwhile, Gardaí say they’re following a definite line of enquiry, following the seizure of 5,880 euro worth of suspected cocaine, which was discovered in a field in Ennistymon, during searches of a house and land there.

Gardaí say all of the drugs are now being sent to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis.
