Air India May Choose Shannon For New European Base
11 March, 2010 - 10:25
Shannon is vying with a number of international airports to become a new European base for Air India.
It's believed that the airline is looking to move from it's current base in Frankfurt due to high charges, with a number of potential replacements.
These include Vienna, Madrid, Copenhagen and either Shannon or Dublin.
It's hoped that Shannon's US pre-clearance facility could be a key factor in persuading the airline to set up a hub at the MidWest Airport.
