AIB fork out 3 million to former managing director

It’s emerged a former managing director at AIB was given a pay package of over 3 million euro last year.

That’s despite the struggling bank needing State aid to the tune of almost 20 billion euro.

Colm Doherty stepped down from his top post in November, after less than a year in the role.
