Time To Lift “Shroud Of Mystery” In Beef Sector – ICSA

The Cratloe-based General Secretary of the ICSA insists it’s vital that the shroud of mystery surrounding the beef sector is lifted, as talks resume today.

The Agriculture Minister is facilitating talks between Meat Industry Ireland and representatives from the farming organisations and the controversy surrounding the price farmers are getting for their animals continues.

So far, the price issue hasn’t been up for discussions and last week saw the IFA say that the fresh round of talks would be “pointless” if that’s the case again.
