A Kilkishen woman has travelled to Offaly to represent the Banner County in this year’s Queen of the Land Festival this weekend.
Laura Donnellan has been involved with the Sixmilebridge-Kilmurry branch of Macra na Feirme for the past couple of years and has been selected to represent her county in the national competition for 2019.
The festival got underway in the Bridge House Hotel in Tullamore last night with the new Queen of the Land to be crowned tomorrow night.
