Meat Industry Urged To “Be Compassionate” With Struggling Beef Farmers

The Clare Chair of the Beef Plan Group is urging meat industry officials to be compassionate with struggling farmers.

Demonstrations have been mounted once again at a small number of beef processing plants across the country, following the conclusion of beef talks last week.

While a number of concessions were made, Beef Plan has hit out at Meat Industry Ireland and the Agriculture Minister for not engaging on the price of beef.
