Clare Beef Plan Group Chair Slams Future Of Beef Report As “Spin”

The Clare Chair of the Beef Plan Group has slammed the government’s report into the future of the beef sector as nothing more than political spin.

The report, published by the Joint Oireachtas Committee on Agriculture, has outlined 12 recommendations to secure the sector’s future.

Increasing Ireland’s agri-food exports to €19 billion per annum by 2025, with beef to play a key role in that growth, is one key aim – while it also calls for an EU quality stamp to be introduced to help market Irish beef.
