Clare Beef Plan Chair Says Agriculture Minister Missed The Point In Beef Talks

The Clare Chair of the Beef Plan Movement says the Agriculture Minister has missed the point completely in this week’s crunch talks on the beef sector.

Marathon talks concluded in the early hours of yesterday morning with concessions made on a number of issues but no progress has yet been made on the farmers’ top priority of a higher price for their beef.

The Beef Plan group is still considering the outcome of the meeting and has said the government and Meat Industry Ireland has failed to deliver.
