The Cratloe-based General Secretary of the ICSA is urging the Agriculture Minister to face up to the facts and accept that there’s a fodder crisis.
Minister Michael Creed has stopped short of calling the current situation a national crisis, saying in an interview with the Irish Examiner that the difficulties are localised.
It comes after a summer of grass growth almost grinding to a halt during the unprecedented hot spell, which came after a particularly difficult winter.
