Aer Lingus in discussion over restoring flights from Shannon

Aer Lingus could be set to restore year-round transatlantic services from Shannon Airport.

Airport Director Mary Considine has confirmed that managment is in talks with the former state carrier about operating the routes through the winter months.

Currently the airline only serves Boston and New York from Shannon for about 9 months of the year but its reportedly considering leasing two smaller aircraft – 757’s to service the route during the off season.
