Aer Arann Chairman Calls For Aviation Taskforce To Reconvene

The Chairman of Aer Arann says the Taskforce for Aviation Recovery should be reconvened in an effort to help support the industry, including Shannon Airport.

Since March, Shannon Group’s weekly revenue has fallen by €1.3 million while last week Ryanair announced the closure of its base there.

It’s hoped that further financial supports for the airport will be announced as part of the National Economic Plan, which is set to be revealed next month.
