Advice Sought From Attorney General Over Lahinch Works

Advice is being sought from the Attorney General as part of efforts to advance coastal protection works at Lahinch.

An application has been lodged by Clare County Council for a foreshore licence since December 2016, to allow for the repair of existing wall structures, damaged during adverse weather conditions two years prior to that.

However, there has still been no decision.

Ennistymon Fine Gael Senator Martin Conway has raised the issue in the Seanad, calling for the licence to be granted as a matter of urgency, so that works can be completed ahead of the Irish Open in Lahinch in July next year.
