63 people are waiting for a bed at the region’s main hospital this lunchtime.

University Hospital Limerick is the most overcrowded facility in the country according to the INMO.

52 of the patients in UHL are waiting in the emergency department, with a further 11 in overflow areas of wards.

It comes as 13 patients with COVID-19 continue to be treated in University Hospital Limerick, with five of these patients receiving intensive care.
