52 On Trolleys At Region’s Main Hospital

Hospital trolleys

The region’s main hospital remains the most overcrowded in the country once again today, despite a fall in trolley numbers.

The latest figures from the INMO show 52 patients were left waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 36 of those in the emergency department.

The overall number is two more than Galway University Hospital, the second busiest in the country, on a day when 483 patients have been left waiting on admission.
