Nurses say 50 people were left waiting on trolleys at the region’s main hospital this morning.

The latest figures from the INMO show 29 patients were left waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick, with a further 21 being accommodated in overflow areas of wards.

Its the highest level of overcrowding in the country, and the overall figure is a dozen more than any other hospital.
