Hospital trolleys

Nurses say the level of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital has climbed today.

The latest INMO figures show 48 people have been left waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 32 of those on trolleys in the emergency department.

The overall figure is 7 more than the next busiest facility and comes on a day when 207 patients have been left waiting for beds at hospitals across the country.
