42 Awaiting Beds In UHL Today

Nurses say 42 patients are waiting on trolleys at the region’s main hospital today.

The latest figures from the INMO show University Hospital Limerick is the most overcrowded in the country once again, with 27 people waiting for beds in the new Emergency Department this morning and a further 15 in overflow areas of wards.

Wexford General Hospital is the second busiest, with 35 people waiting to be admitted on a day when 329 people have been left waiting on trolleys at hospitals across the country.
