Nearly 8 million euro is to be spent on the construction of 40 new social houses in Ennis.
The homes will be built at Ashline on the Kilrush Road, with the funding for Clare County Council coming under the Rebuilding Ireland scheme.
Previously, announcements for social housing have been made for the Tulla Road area of Ennis, as well as Quilty, Clonlara, Feakle and Shannon.
