37 Additional Cases Of COVID-19 In Clare Following ‘Revalidation’ Of Data

Health officials have announced an additional 37 cases of COVID-19 in Co. Clare.

It brings the total number of cases here to 360.

The vast majority of these cases are not new diagnoses, but have previously been counted in the figures for Limerick (its total fell by 35 today).

The HSE has told Clare FM that it has revalidated the data, to ensure that cases near to the county boundary are counted in the correct area.

It’s at least the second time that cases have been reclassified, resulting in a jump in the number of cases in Clare.

Nationally, today’s figures show 77 new cases, bringing the total to 25,000.

There has also been one additional death announced in Ireland, bringing the total to 1,650.
