26 On Trolleys At UHL

Hospital trolleys

The level of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital has dropped sharply today.

The latest INMO figures show 26 people were waiting on trolleys at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 22 of those in the emergency department.

The overall figure is still the highest in the country, four more than the next busiest facility, and comes on a day when 120 people were left waiting to be admitted at hospitals nationwide.
