Up to 2,000 people are expected to descend on Shannon Airport this evening for the fourth annual Shannon Runway Run.
The event transform’s the region’s runway – one of the longest in Europe – into a 5km walk or run course, with proceeds going to Cahercalla Community Hospital & Hospice, and Home Share Clare.
Clare Everest climber John Burke and his wife, actress Aoibhinn Garrihy will sound the starting gun.
