29 Patients On Trolleys At UHL

Hospital trolleys

There’s been a small drop in the level of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital today.

The latest INMO figures show 29 patients were left waiting on trolleys in the emergency department at University Hospital Limerick this morning, with a further 5 accommodated in overflow areas of wards.

It’s 22 more than the next busiest facility, on a day when no more than 7 patients have been left waiting on trolleys at any other hospital in the country.
